Anna Canteen is a subsidized food initiative launched by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on September 11, 2018, under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The program aims to establish 203 canteens across the state, providing meals and breakfast at a nominal price of just Rs 5.
The primary objective of Anna Canteens is to ensure that no poor and hard-working person in the state goes hungry. Currently, 176 Anna Canteens are operational across the state and there are plans to increase the number to 400 in the coming months.
